is rolling across parts of mississippi. this happened last night. the video shows some of the damage left behind. debris from roofs littered some neighborhood and there's threat of more damage from high winds and some of this storm front, lynette, as you've been pointing out, stretches from the great lakes to the gulf and you could say we are in line. >> exactly. we are in line. we are next in line as we go later this evening. but we see what's going on right now. and we are dropping lots of tornado warnings in tennessee this morning as well. so we will see what the national weather service has to do with it tomorrow after they survey the damage there. but this is marching off towards the east and we are going to be in the potential for flooding as we go later into the evening. as the strong line of storms will move through and we can see some of the yellows there. that's what will work its way in there as we go around 8 into the overnighttime frame be prepared for that. all this is courtesy of the cold front that's going to move through. and behind the cold front we will be dealing with

. the beneficiaries that are targeted underserved communities in louisiana, mississippi, alabama, and the florida panhandle. there are four components to this. the first is a program serving the developing improved community health programs. it is run by louisiana public health institute joined with the alliance institute which is a community-based organization. there is a mental and behavioral health program which has louisiana state university, southern mississippi university, the university of south alabama and the university of west florida. there is a literacy program which includes a washington- based group. that's got the literacy aimed at the literacy of the community and the community workers and those involved in with community activism and community projects. finally, there is a community health worker training program that is based at the university of south alabama. the overall goal here is one where resilience comes up in the language all the time but the resilience is very much in keeping with what we would do in public health. yesterday there was a meeting held at e.p.a. by the e.

to blacken parts of the mississippi river this morning. a barge hit a bridge causing the leak earlier this week. the mississippi river, one of the vital commerce routes, shutting it down could have huge economic blows. coast guard officials e doing their best to navigate vessels traveling the rivers while they try to clean the leak. no word on how much oil has leaked into the river so far. >>> boeing is sticking with plans to keep building its 787 dreamliners even though all of the existing planes have been grounded. a company says it hopes to deliver at least 60 of the planes this year. also says it sees no reason to change the lithium ion battery which triggered the worldwide grounding. boeing insists the battery is safe. earlier this month the 787's battery caught on fire while the plane of parked in boston. a week later, smoke from a burning battery forced a plane to make an emergency landing in japan. >>> five, four, three, two, one, zero. >> just had to show you this video this morning. this is nasa's new communications satellite being launched into space. this happened late las

of that. >> good morning, savannah. tornado watches are stretching from mississippi all the way up into ohio and west virginia. there are numerous tornado warnings in effect right now throughout parts of tennessee and also on into parts of alabama. we are watching these systems make their way through. here's what's going on. we've got a risk of these strong storms, tornadoes possible from mobile up to washington. warm, moist air coming up from the south, cold air coming in from the north. where those systems are clashing, that's where we've got the severe storms. as you watch this system make its way across the country into the east, it's a fast mover. you can see heavy rain falling with this and the possibility of tornadoes firing up right on through the afternoon into the evening hours. back side of the system, we've got a lot of snow. rainfall, we've got flood watches in effect right now for much of the northeast. anywhere from two to five inches of rain, stretching from alabama, all the way on up into the northeast. and behind the system, we've got snow to talk about. some area
